I am current owner of Blalock Insurance for over 20 years. I am an independent agent representing several Insurance companies. My belief in business is to give customers the type of service that they can’t get any other place. I have built my business on the referrals of my clients and have passed that on to my employees.
My goals are to continue to slowly grow my business that meets the needs of people that want to stay with us and trust us to have their best interest and needs met.
When not working I love spending time with my husband, our Pug and loving on the huge group of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Office Manager, Cheryl Darling, is a Grants Pass native with almost two decades in the insurance industry. Cheryl joined our family-run Blalock Insurance in 2004 and is a friendly and familiar face at both the Grants Pass and Cave Junction locations.
Cheryl has enjoyed her career as an agent because she loves to help community members navigate the ups and downs of life whether that be finding the right policy for auto, home, or business or lending a willing ear when a claim must be filed.
A lifelong lover of all things Disney, Cheryl is an avid crafter and camper and loves to travel and enjoy all the beauty the west coast has to offer, especially if there’s a way to squeeze a Dodger’s game or a trip to the Magic Kingdom into the itinerary.
In her free time, Cheryl loves to spend time with her growing family which includes grown children and eleven grandkids.
Cheryl drives to work everyday from Medford and navigates her week with a little help from Dutch Bros, Zumba classes and snuggles from her adorable wiener dog puppies.
I was born in Medford Oregon and have lived in the beautiful Rogue Valley all of my life. Years ago a dear friend in the insurance business encouraged me to get my insurance license because he felt I worked well with people. I am very thankful that I took him up on his offer. I got my insurance license in 2003 and have had the privilege of working for two small family ran agencies since then.
Being an agent is much more than just writing insurance. It’s also about the relationships you build and knowing that you are helping people protect the things they have worked hard for. It’s about helping individuals and families protect themselves from unforeseen disasters, making them feel a bit more secure in an insecure world. It’s really about caring about people and this is what makes my job enjoyable.
When I’m not working, I enjoy working in my yard, whether it’s growing a small vegetable garden or growing some type of beautiful flower. I also enjoy camping and just spending time with my family and my 4-legged furry grandchildren, namely Padme, Leia, and Kylo.
